Quick Question Guys,

So on Spikes Website in white stamp the barrel reads: ST FN MIL-B-11595E CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 M249 CL HP MP,
however the same barrel I'm looking at from another site of the same barrel reads the barrel stamp:
ST DIN 21CrMoV511 CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 CL HP MP. Are these the same barrel? And if so, is there a reason for the different barrel stamps?

They are the "same" barrel in the sense that they are both a 556 chambered barrel. They are two different metal. Both are very good barrels. The one that is marked ST FN MIL-B-11595E CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 M249 CL HP MP is a FN barrel and VERY widely used is military rifles and other quality rifles. I have one myself and shoots great. Now the one that is marked ST DIN 21CrMoV511 CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 CL HP MP is another high quilty barrel. This steel, DIN 21CrMoV511, is know for its high wear and heat resistance. See link below for all the science talk.

But.....is it a barrel made by "FN"?

I just received my new barrel and it is stamped "ST DIN 21CrMoV511 CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 CL HP MP"

Is this barrel made by "FN" or by another manufacturer and if so....who is it?

To my knoleg if the barrel is marked FN, and only if it has the marking, then yes it is FN. If no FN making is on it then I'd say no it is not FN. But to be 100% call John in customer service at 407.928.2666 ext 118. He would be able to tell you. the making ST DIN 21CrMoV511 CHF 5.56 NATO 1/7 CL HP MP does not tell you who made the barrel. the marking you have lissted tell you this.

ST = Spike's Tactical
DIN = Profile Designation (Tom may correct me on this one)
21CrMoV511 = Composition of the barrel steel
CHF = Cold Hammer Forged
5.56 NATO = Caliber
1/7 = Twist Rate
CL = Chrome Lined
HP = High Pressure Tested
MP = Magnetic Particle Inspected

Just spoke to John of Spike's Tactical......Yes they are made by FN but not stamped "FN".....FN rolled stamped them and made the call not to include the "FN" .
