i canceled. For what i plan on doin with the rifle, ive heard great things about Palmetto State Armory. it took 4 days for my account to be re-credited from spikes, then i got a middy 1/7 twist barrel (made by fn) and their complete lower. Im guessing the wait will be roughly three weeks for them to process the order, put the stuff together, and have it in my hand. everything was in stock. No offense to spikes and ill be back some day, but i have summer plans based on the AR. And palmetto being nearly the same specs as spikes and for a little less, i was ok with that.

I bought one from Bravo Company it's cozy in my bedroom right now!, but left my mid-length carbine with color fill on order with Spike's. But, I don't like paying full price and waiting months and months when other manufacturers only take a deposit at the time of order.

I ordered an STR5035-MLS - Complete Rifle (5.56) 16" Midlength LE w/Handguards STLCF03 - Color Fill Selector & Logo I know I've got a wait, it's only been a month and 2 days.

It's just crazy how long and inconsistent the wait times are

Just because they don't respond doesn't mean they aren't reading the thread. I figure they have no response or have been told not to respond. Either way, we haven't heard a peep from them.

on a more positive note : they (st)went through this last year and most got there stuff and were pleased with product when they did ! When i ordered mine feb 15 2012 i went direct to the office and they had several customers inside while there and some nice products (weapons)for eyes only on the walls (office a little small ). a sherriff swat sniper was also their for service and seemed to know staff very well so i assume he is a returning customer. they had lots of shirts and hats and many cars in lot with spikes logos. kat looked great ! like the voice you hear ! i came during there lunch break and they tended to me first with no complaints before going to lunch . (thanks earl) im guilty of letting some frustrations get to me at times as i suppose they been around the block alot with many others the same . imagine reading these boards for years what it does to you at work ? anyway i too want too be a proud owner of spikes tactical firearms. and i cant wait but i will if i want one . im over 10 weeks and i hope soon too i get that email its ready for pick up.

I wish i could do that. My budget wont allow it though. Hell, im still debating how much ammo i can afford until i get steady cash flow. College life makes it hard to afford everything required for an Ar 15 :/ lol buyt lord knows im going to have one anyways, thats why i decided to switch to palmetto. Ill have one before i go back to school in august.

Well, here it is. It took two and a half weeks to find everything, receive it all, and assemble it (about a hour this afternoon). I put this together waiting on my complete Carbine build. I am still waiting, but this helps.

Parts:
Spikes stripped Punisher lower
Spikes LPK
Magpul enhanced trigger guard (aluminum)
Stag buffer tube
Magpul stock
410 stainless BCM upper
WMD NiBx BCG & hammer
Magpul flip up front & rear sights
Daniel Defense 12" Lite rail
Magpul AFG2

I still have to an optic, probably holographic.

Had to cancel my order, will have a BCM M4 Carbine Mod 0 in my hands by Tuesday. I really wanted a Spikes Rifle, but to me the wait wasn't worth it.

congrats ,welcome to the club. now put your boots on and put your mind to other usefull endeavors so as not to think about your order as a possiblitity of it doubleing that time frame before you get that happy package . otherwise you will drive yourself crazy disecting every forum post written in anticipation and frustration until it does arrive . im on 11 weeks and im expecting atleast 4 more weeks to wait and i too was told 6-8 + or - . another words dont watch the clock good things come to those that wait .

Hang in there! Here's my story:

Purchased my complete lower on March 23rd, and received the lower exactily one month later. April 12th I ordered a complete upper. Just received the UPS tracking information tonight so it will have been a 2 month wait for that.

Good for you. At least someone is taking delivery in a reasonable amount for time.

I'm trying to be patient, and I really have been until recently, but the delay is starting to get to me. I see all you guys getting shipping confirmations and deliveries in 8 weeks, 4 weeks, even 10 weeks, but I'm still SOL. I ordered my middy on March 11. This Friday marks 13 weeks for me. Every reply I get is something like "oh it will only be a couple more weeks...but we really can't say for sure" or "oh they're finishing up the uppers this week, so it should only be a couple more weeks...but we really can't say for sure" or "oh it's being test fired so it should only be two more weeks at most...but we really can't say for sure."

I've had to postpone several range trips, and now I'm starting to get the feeling that my friends think I'm lying when I tell them I bought an AR.

Did I?? I can't remember....

if you ordered march 11 you havent waited no 13 weeks ! even if you add weekends. i oredered feb 15 and im on 10-11 weeks now
