I hate to say it but I am not sure I would do it again Ordered last part of Feb and still waiting. Was told definitely end of May now its end of June. Very depressing. My first build and I hope it is worth it but I have lost enthusiasm. I guess what made it worse was initially told 6 weeks by gun shop. I hope I can come back in a week and say it was worth the wait

I can say I won't do it again....I will be more than happy that I did this one. I know the quality is there, but 3 months wait with no end in sight is beyond stupid. I could probably have found a dealer somewhere with one and driven from CA to buy it in a shorter time......

Your probably exactly right. Me & my buddy just picked up our 9th in the past 90 days today. They are out there people. And really easy to find to be honest.

I did just that. Paying the FFL in full up front, I found out, isn't such a good idea. I was out a good deal of money for 5 months with no rifle to show for it. Finally said enough is enough and bought local.

I just got a little info from a buddy of mine who is a big Spikes retailer here in FL. Plan on anywhere from 6-8 months, and maybe longer on most orders. They are that behind and its only going to get worse. The rumor is though they will be making some changes soon to help, but thats privileged info. Sorry.

I'm not used to a company billing my credit card until they are ready to ship either. Nothing like having my money for 3 months so far and no shipping in sight......

I agree with most, bill card when product ready to ship. I'm not out a lot of money but, been waiting for a Inhanced LPK for my Black Rain billet lower since 4-8-12. Was told they were waiting for mag latches from vender. Then their backorders were to large to fill mine. Then was told the end of June and now it's here. If I didn't have plans on working this rifle over I would have cancelled when I got put on backorder, and went with a DPMS LPK and have been shooting 2 months ago. :?:

They have quite a few LPK's on Ebay and on Gunbroker. Dont have to wait months to get it.

Well I have thought long and hard about this. Based on everyone's comments and my dealer telling me my wait time went from 3 to 5 and now 9 months, I have decided to cancel my ST full rifle order. As much as I want to be a part of the ST elite, I cannot seem to grasp having to wait close to a year. I pay in full and can't even get a simple confirmation that ST even has my order. What we need is change, what we need is someone to think of others who are waiting. I'm not going to be the one delaying an order for the ones who protect my freedom, risk their lives in the line of duty, and the ones who want to protect their loved ones. If this is you, I hope my decision will help you and pave the way for others to follow suit. That is the change we need!

Very well said. When they refund your money (and lets hope that it doesnt take as long as its been since you placed your order) just start hitting gun shows. Everyone within a 2 hour drive. Trust me, its worth it. Its summertime and people are looking to sell. I picked up a brand new condition Spikes m4 with all the factory accessories for $600 last weekend. I just had a friend of a friend of mine buy it for $850 yesterday. Ive got quite a few and wasnt going to turn down that kind of profit in less then a week. The guns are out there. There are like 20 right now on Gunbroker. And there are a ton of parts of Ebay of all places. Dont be discouraged, once you have your money back in your hand, you can have a brand new rifle in the other hand in less then a month. You just got to hit it hard.

Was planning on canceling my order because of the 3 1/2 months I have waited and it was supposed to be in by about two weeks ago and I have not gotten a word until now, saying that I have to wait an extra 3 months, bunch of BS. Two questions, how do we get a refund online and if so do they give all the money back.

WOW. I was just gonna ask what a realistic wait time was if I ordered a new rifle. Think I might take Bowhunter's advice and hit some local gun shows. Any advice?
