First off, let me say I'm generally a big fan of Spike's, which makes this harder to understand as this is the first time I've ever had an issue with any of my firearms related purchases.

I picked up one of the carbine dedicated piston conversion kits when they went on sale last month. This was to go in an Adams Arms upper designed to work with their piston conversion system. I also ordered it with a Spike's chromed bolt.

Later, I bought the Adam's arms 16" barrel's you guys had on clearance as well.

My issue started when it took force to get the BCG to go into the upper, it does not freely go all the way into the upper, and was compounded when I tried to install the piston block and piston rod. I was sent a midlength instead of carbine.

I called and explained this on the phone, was given an RMA number (690) and sent in the rod, and BCG.

Today, I got the box back with a note saying a bolt was installed in my BCG (why?) and any other issues would need to be resolved with Adam's Arms. I was even sent back the midlength piston rod (why?).

According to your directions (per the terse note in my return box), I will have to pay to send out the stuff I bought from Spike's to Adam's Arms to get it taken care of.

So to sum things up, my experience has been this.
Bought stuff
It didn't fit properly or is the wrong part
RMA'd it
Got a free firing pin, cam, bolt retaining pin, bolt.
Stuff still doesn't fit & is the wrong stuff.

Not pleased.

Call back, ask for Sarah. Let her know you need a carbine piston rod.

I will forward this to her and Tom.

Sorry about the inconvenience, we'll get this taken care of.

Alright, let Tom and Sarah know. As soon as you call to confirm, we'll ship you the carbine op rod. Made sure we had one left to send, and it's waiting for you.

Cheers!
