I have an installation question, as SAR's barrel nut is unique.
If my barrel already has a low profile gas block pinned and installed, can I still install and use this handguard without removing my gas block from the barrel?
The instruction/review above seems to indicate that the gas block has to be removed from the barrel in order to install the handguard.

No AR barrel nut can be removed or installed without first having to remove the gas block. And most gas blocks won't come off without first having to remove the muzzle device.

I have used the SAR in one of my builds but the problem is that the rail keeps slipping off the barrel nut when I shoot at the range. I used the supplied locktite and still it slips off. My friend just bought one himself and has the same problem. Any suggestions? Before anyone asks, I have tighten it down to the point where the supplied torx T-25 wrench bends a bit . I don't want to tighten it down more since I fear I will strip the screw hole.

Are you sure that your are LOOSENING the small middle set screw first PRIOR to tightening either of the two larger screws? If you don't loosen that small screw enough first it prevents the other two from squeezing the rail around the barrel nut.

As B3 said above, the spreader screw must be backed out once you have the rail body on the nut and before tightening the clamp screws.

Yup I do back off the spreader screw enough but just to be safe, I Took that middle screw off completely, then installed the 2 bigger screws then re-installed the spreader screw nice and tight. Ill take this back out and see if it comes off again.

The barrel for my build is for a mid length gas system and I am using a AA piston system. What length SAR rail would I need to use with my build to not have a gap between the rail and gas block like the picture previously posted here?

Is the diameter 1.5" all the way through? I would like to use this on a 9mm SBR build, and would like to recess most of my Gemtech Multimount under the rail. The Multimount has a 1.375" OD. I have a 5" barrel and would use a 10" SAR. Would that work? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the rail body is extruded to the same dimension for the full length and is only limited once you get to the barrel nut.

The SAR will work with the op rod, but the AA gas block doesn't fit under the rail, it must be in front of the rail. The BAR is not compatible at all.
