just a heads up if anyone wanted to use the osprey piston system....osprey came out with a new rod for their system to work with the normal barrel nut fot the bar and sar.....also works with yhm......so you dont have to wait for this nut

Did this piston barrel nut ever get produced? I would like to use one to put a BAR on a PWS piston shorty.

It became a back burner item. The nut would need to be timed with shims to align a single relief cut slot that would accept a piston. This timing could cause the gap between the upper receiver and rail body to widen a noticeable amount.
