I just received my ST Carbine and found that the magazine releases on it's own if you just wiggle it a little. I'm in California so my rifle has the "Bullet Button". I'm unable to deress the mag release deep enough to rotate the catch and tighten it. Any advice?

Mag release cannot be pushed. You can stick a tool inside the button and tighten the button down until you get to the required tightness that allows for the mags to stay in. Sounds like it only needs about 1 full turn.

I tightened it down a little at a time, and no matter how tight even all the way down the mag still was able to be wiggled out. I took it buy my local black rifle shop and they tried to change out the catch as well as install a Raddlock bullet button to see if fixed the problem. Nothing worked, they beleive the lower is out of spec and allows too much play around the mag seat. I haven't shot it yet fearing that the mag will drop out when I fire it. I'll take it to the range and see if it's an issue. Probably need to ship it back.

If it continues after you've tighten it, give us a call and we'll sort it out.
