Ok, so I have recently finished another build with a spikes lower as a base. I want to put an MSA sling on it (unless someone has a better idea). With the sling I want to put an ASAP adapter on it but there is a problem. The castle nut is pinned to the buffer tube in 2 places. I'm afraid to drill incas i screw it up. Any ideas as to what to do about this?

Thanks Spikes!! :?

It's staked, not pinned. Properly support the lower and buffer tube. After everything is secure, take a good stock wrench and break that castle nut free from the stakings on the latch plate.
