To compliment the popularity of the ST-T2 buffer, ST has launched a fuller collection of buffer products.

Available beginning today, there is now 3 ST tungsten buffers and a new buffer spacer available.

First is the ST-T0 Rifle Spacer. With the T0 you can use a carbine buffer spring and a ST carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube. These were designed for the ST Shooting Team for use in the PRS stocks on their team weapons.

Second we have the ST-T1 buffer. These are a lighter weight tungsten powder buffer for use in commercial spec carbines that suffer from very tight gas ports. They are identical to the ST-T2, but uses a lower density tungsten powder at the same volume to achieve a lighter weight.

And last is the ST-T3 buffer. It is the heaviest model in the family, utilizing solid tungsten weights instead of powder to allow for a higher weight within the same casing.

This is awesome! I love the Spike's buffer, now I can add it to my rifle too!

This is probably a really stupid question but can a Spike's T3 buffer be used in a VLTOR A5? I'm guessing not since the A5 is a rifle buffer and the T3 is a Carbine.

I've heard some great stuff about the A5; that its more practical than a muzzle break and works just as well. Which is what i'd like to have so I can use a flash suppressor.

Would the T-3 Buffer be a better choice for 6.8 build than the ST-2? I am considering placing an order (have the quote) for a 6.8, so just curious if there would be any advantage?

We offer the ST-T0 Spacer that will allow the ST buffers to be used inside a rifle buffer tube. You will need to switch out the rifle spring for a carbine length spring as well.

What are the advantages to having the heavier T3 buffer over the T2 buffer?

Different weights to accommodate other peoples AR-15's they may be over gassed or using a very light semi auto bolt carrier.

Yes. All ST bolt carriers are full auto M16/M4 style carriers. We do not stock or use semi-auto AR-15 carriers.

I ordered an ST-T3 for my adams arms carbine along with the spikes mil spec spring. I mainly bought it to reduce felt recoil as many have read that the st-t2 did for them. Did i mistake? I am curious if this could cause cycling issues for me.

If your gas flow is already light in the piston, the buffer may end up being too heavy. I would suggest not setting the piston to suppressed mode to avoid weaker commercial ammo from short stroking.
