I tried Rust oleon Black Heat touch up and not even close. Does anybody know a paint that matches small scratches. Oh I almost forgot tried the Sharpie that some gun shops sell nada. Home Depot says they can match any color I guess I could take the AR in there ( Have no case ) LOL

Are scratches really that big of deal? Sure I was pissed at myself when a screwdriver slipped and gashed my ST-15

But after I started looking at my ar15 as a tool (a very dangerous tool of course) the gash didn't bother me anymore..it's not like AR15s are rare

I buy and custom build Spikes and sometimes I get a scratch while i assemble them and when you are selling these AR's as new, buyers do not want any scratches.

This is a good opportunity to Duracoat Tungsten Grey if the scratches bother you that much.

I HATE SCRATCHES TOO!!!!! A product i found that works great is made by "Birchwood Casey", called" Aluminum Black". It not only covers scratches & blemishes wonderfly, it also matches military spec black hard coat anodizing to a "T". It cost under $10.00 for a 3oz bottle, which is enough to cover a handfull of scratches every week for a couple of years. Also its EXTREMELY easy to apply and dries within a minute or too, i found that using your average qtip works best. I purchased Aluminum Black at Gander Mountain, and should be available at most gunstores.
