Their great in combat ( faster easy break down ) .They have there place . But i do see yr point.

Can recommend the Daniel Defense Omega rail, I have one on mine and it's very well made and very light!
I had a two piece cheap FAB Defense NFR rail and while it did the job, the Omega rail is in a different league, free float too.
