It is pretty awesome that the dynacomp comes pre-drilled and with the pin, but I assume one still needs to drill into the threads of the barrel so the pin has somewhere to go. As the pin is listed as being 3/32 do you use a 3/32s drill and can you go through the existing drill hole after the comp was installed? If not then how do you decide where to drill until you have the crush washer in place, which you can't reuse?

Yes, you thread on the Dynacomp, make sure it is torqued to spec and properly indexed using stainless shims. Once it is aligned, you can use a 3/32 drill bit through the hole in the Dynacomp to create a sufficient dimple in the threading of the barrel for the pin to fall into. An experienced gunsmith should perform this to avoid piercing the barrel or going to shallow and rendering the pin ineffective. Once at the proper depth, you drop the pin in the hole and fill with solder.

Okie, the pin seems to be press fit tight to the drilled channel so my concern was fitting a 3/32s drill through the channel without expanding it. What is the recommend depth into the threads for the pin to be effective?

You can't just stick a home drill or dremel tool in it. You need a drill press, or a mill to get precisely through. Go all the way to the bottom of the threads and then about 0.005 farther. Insert the square end of the dowel pin. Push on it to ensure it is fully seated. Use another pin to hold the dowel pin in place and attempt to turn the muzzle device off, if it doesn't move you are good and can solder the dowel pin in place permanently. It is recommended to test before you solder, or else you could end up wasting the muzzle device.
