I have read on different threads on this forum that spike's rifles eat all different kinds of ammo, from good to shit including Wolf. I just found some Bear ammo, Brown and Silver for $115-$130 per 500. I thought that sounded like a good price but, hey, I'm new to AR's so I'm really not too sure about good ammo and prices. So, my question is: Is this ammo any good? And is this a good price? Also, what ammo is out there for good prices that my Spike's upper that I have ordered will eat? And where will I be able to find it?
Thanks

Silver bear is better than Wolf for a few cents more per round. I use aimsurplus.com for most of my 5.56 and .223 ammo.

That's a good price for XM193. Anything around .30/round these days is considered cheap for that stuff.

XM193 was once called the "cheap shit" that volume shooters would use. Funny how it hasn't been improved but now it is called good stuff.
If shooters would remember that, the market would stop gouging the price on it and things would go back down where they belong.
Seems like yesterday that xm193 was 120$/1000, Wolf was just entering the market at the same price, and everything else was 200$ or more.
Would be nice to see xm193 at 200$/1000, Wolf at 160$, and the rest at 260$. That is where it should be.
