.410 shotgun, 5.7mm, .458 socom, .22lr, 7.62x39, 5.45x39 are different calibers offered by various companies that also work on a 5.56 lower.

What about a crossbow bolt, and I even heard tell of a company putting out a .50 cal upper? The .50 may have been based on AR-10; not sure.

The 5.7 takes that strange magazine and the ammo is a little on the expensive side. The 5.45 is cheaper than 5.56. However, most of the stuff you will find at that price is surplus military stuff from Russia. It's corrosive and you will need to clean your gear after you use it or it may start to rust.

You aren't going to get hit with brass because of the deflector (that little bump behind the ejection port door) and if your rifle goes down due to internal parts in your upper failing and you need parts ASAP due to a upcoming match or a class you've already paid for and cant get a refund on, you'll have to wait to get replacements from Stag instead of just driving to your local shop and picking up a new part.

It will work fine. We had Stag uppers in stock for left hand builds, might be a couple left, but they never really sold.
I don't know if newer Stag receivers have M4 feed ramps, but the last I ever looked at them they did not. Not a deal breaker though.
As Hendricks said, the brass deflector will do its job. Tom and I are both lefties, no problem shooting with standard uppers.
