This is a place for people who are waiting for their rifles to express their emotions and find support through others who are going through or have gone through the same thing. Waiting months for a rifle to arrive can be a traumatic experience that no one should go through alone. Thats why we are here. We can all get through this together. This is a place where everyone can feel safe from the judgment and ridicule we may experience from friends and family who dont understand our condition.

feel free to post your story.

First of all, amazing idea for a topic.

And my story:

I bought my stripped lower in March and received it in April. During my wait, I bought everything else I needed for it during my wait.

I am currently waiting on my mid-length upper with micro gas block and 12" SAR that I ordered around April 9 or so. I know it has only been a few weeks and other people are on like their 12th week or more but these past weeks have felt like a year. I have ordered and received pmags and flip-up sights for it to try to pass the time but it's only a temporary fix =''''( I need to buy some other things like cases like a soft and a hard case (st soft rifle case, and boyt hard case from dsgarms maybe) and maybe some other rail covers (I know the SAR comes with some but I think I might get some XTM's or something) I also might get some molle attachments for the st soft gun case. Anything to ease the PAIN!!

I know this might not be the right thread, but what do you guys thing about the at rifle case and boyt 36" tactical hard rifle case (I want a hard case that I can cut the foam out around my rifle and maybe a spot or 2 for mags and enough room for optics that I might eventually add)?

I think buying these if I can make a final decision will help pass the time and ease the pain.
Please help me!!

Also, is there anywhere that I can get rail covers or good cases for good deals? And what about an AFG2?

Have you checked out the 5.11 tactical cases on lapolicegear.com? They're definitely not as cool looking as the Spikes bag but they are only 71.99 shipped with the code "secret 10" and they come with a free pocket knife.

I ordered my complete rifle May 7th and I think I've spent about 500$ over the last month to ease the pain. It's like a heroin addict buying methodone to ease the pain before their next hit. Crazy.

what touching stories logan and work2shoot. you are a very strong people. we support you and feel your pain.

I too am waiting for parts to arrive. I ordered a stripped lower on April 21st and a 20" rifle kit from Del Ton on the same day. Its been rough since that day. I try to satisfy my cravings but nothing seems to work. I ordered a KAC M5 handguard yesterday to help ease the pain. It has been shipped and will be here next week. I hope to god that the handguard keeps me sane until the rest of the rifle gets here. If things dont change, I may lose my job and my wife will leave me. ITS TEARING ME APARRRRTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there guys, we can stay strong, togther!

I placed my order on May 3rd. I will be receiving a 16" Lightweight LE with a 12" SAR rail. I upgraded the charging handle to a BCM Mod 4. So far my lower is complete and ready to go. HOWEVER, bless me father for I have sinned, my lower is not Spikes, but Doublestar, as is the LPK. I let my local dealer talk me into what he had on hand. Time will tell if I'll be spending the money on a Spikes lower as well!

During my wait, I have ordered some PMAGS, purchased a new handgun, split a large ammo order with several friends, gone on vacation, turned another decade older, and I am currently waffling over whether I want BUIS or MBUS. I'm also drooling over various optics, but I want to become competent with irons (or polymers!) first.

I have also converted a co-worker who was born in NY, then lived in Chicago and Los Angeles before moving to TN. He just bought his first handgun, and is already talking about 'buying something bigger' haha.

So I've been keeping busy, but that doesn't keep me safe from roving bands of communists! I mean, what if the Russians attack tonight? How am I going to keep the ranch safe?!?

On a serious note, I knew there would be a wait when I ordered this. I keep telling myself I ordered a custom rifle (it isn't listed on their website, so I'm claiming it  ) Hopefully the wait isn't any longer than it has to be, but I knew what I was getting into when I placed my order :o

Hang in there! Here's my story:

Purchased my complete lower on March 23rd, and received the lower exactily one month later. April 12th I ordered a complete upper. Just received the UPS tracking information tonight so it will have been a 2 month wait for that.

Now this is a very touching story. It gives me hope and a reason to live. Seeing that others have made it to the end of their wait ensures to me that it is possible to live that long without my other half.

The key is to NOT think about it while you're waiting for it. Luckily I have other hobbies that kept my mind off of the rifle.

Spike's Branded Pelican Case w/ ST Soft Case (soft case fits inside perfectly)

With Black Soft Case - SGC0601
With Tan Soft Case - SGC0602

Can't remember the price off the top of my head though. You can get your own foam from foambymail.com in any style you could want.

Thanks for the help. But, I just tried it and it says the coupon code does not exist......

Good for you. At least someone is taking delivery in a reasonable amount for time.

I'm trying to be patient, and I really have been until recently, but the delay is starting to get to me. I see all you guys getting shipping confirmations and deliveries in 8 weeks, 4 weeks, even 10 weeks, but I'm still SOL. I ordered my middy on March 11. This Friday marks 13 weeks for me. Every reply I get is something like "oh it will only be a couple more weeks...but we really can't say for sure" or "oh they're finishing up the uppers this week, so it should only be a couple more weeks...but we really can't say for sure" or "oh it's being test fired so it should only be two more weeks at most...but we really can't say for sure."

I've had to postpone several range trips, and now I'm starting to get the feeling that my friends think I'm lying when I tell them I bought an AR.

Did I?? I can't remember....
