Just wondering if you guys still carried the Troy front/rear sights in the FDE finish?

Are they really worth the $200? Are you going to combat or something?

They weren't popular enough to keep ordering.

In my opinion I don't think $200 is all that bad for a set of iron sights that can take a beating and last forever...and no I'm not going into combat with it but it doesn't mean that I have to skimp on a sighting system.

That's my rational for dropping $200 as well into iron sights. My upper fell and hit the deck when I was cleaning it once and all of the weight struck my Troy rear. Still functions 100% and held zero.

Do I need a LT mount for an optic so I can remove it and re-attach it without having to re-zero it? No. But I like the benefit that it gives me and it's a quality part that'll last forever. To me, those things outweigh the cost.

I have more people ask me why I spend the extra money on all my upgrades and I tell them the exact same thing. I want quality I want to never worry about my optics or anything else on my weapon. I want to make sure it will always work no matter what. If you want the best you pay for the best.

I'm kind of that way with everything I get. To me its cheaper to spend more and buy a quality part once than save some money and be unsatisfied and end up buying what I wanted to begin with.

Like stated above...paying more for something you know you will never have to worry about and you can depend on is well worth the money!

Do still wish I could get ahold of the Troy front/rear sights in FDE with the sexy Spikes spider on them! :D

The best part is when you try to explain to family/friends why you invested $1200+ in just aiming the rifle, lol.

One of my friends thinks that the $100 Swift scope that's on my .30-30 is a really good optic, hah.

Haha...my wife has finally just given up and says "fine, get what you want or you'll just end up buying it later anyway"
