Any 10 inch SAR rails in stock yet or an expected arrival date? How does it compare in overall diameter to the DD lite rail?

Tom can post a more definitive timeframe, but Spike's will likely not ship them to customers until after New Years. Reason for this is the shipping time to get a freight size package from Seekins to Spike's, then unbox, inspect for shipping damage/loss, verify all parts for each rail, inventory, engrave, and then install on waiting uppers or ship just the rail to customers. That all takes time.

Anyone asked for a rail that would fit over a piston gas block (perferably ST or AA,) that would continue out past the current 7-9.5" piston rails made by DD and AA. I live in the great state of Kaliforniaban and would love a 14 or even 15 inch rail that was compatible with all the piston systems I am seeing.

The SAR rail will not fit over any piston system but it is compatible with the AA or Spike's piston system.

Any word on how much the 10" and 12" rails will weigh? I'm guessing that both will be slightly lighter than the BAR rail?

The 12" BAR is 16oz. (479 grams)

The 12" SAR is 12oz. (340.19 grams)

There is apx. a 4oz. (113.39 grams) difference between the BAR and SAR (this works out for most lengths).

As an example of weight saving, going from a Government profile M4 barrel to a lightweight pencil profile barrel will only shave off apx. 2oz (56.69 grams).

Easy fix.

1. Pick up your phone.
2. Dial 407.928.2666.
3. When you hear the greeting, press 114.
4. Tell the nice young man that answer you "need" a SAR rail.
5. He will guide you from there.

See, easy. *pounds the easy button*

The SAR rail will not fit over any piston system but it is compatible with the AA or Spike's piston system.

Sorry Tom, I got lost on that reply, how will it be compatible with AA or ST piston kits? Is there just enough clearance already to accommodate the piston system gas block built into the SAR rails design?)

Or to pose it as a install question, could a 13.2' inch SAR rail be added to a ST BioHazzard Billet set with 14.5 inch barrel & attached AA Carbine (7' inch) length piston kit without having to modify the rail?

To clarify: The SAR rail will allow the piston underneath, but no piston gas blocks will fit under the rails.

The BAR has an optional barrel nut coming out in the future that will allow the same function.

To answer your 13.2"/14.5" question: sorry, no you could not. And modification to the SAR or BAR rail to accommodate what you propose is not recommended.
