Hi Guys,
I just ordered the Spikes Upper (5.56) 16" Mid LE w/ML Handguards & FSP. That has the A2 Flash Hider on it. I assume I have to change to something like the Dynacomp Extreme and pin and weld it. Or can I have the A2 pinned and welded to be in compliance.
What does spike do when you order direct from them and add the pin and weld option? Do they change the muzzle too and if yes what do the change it to.

When using the Pin & Weld service on an order, you must also add a muzzle device to your order that is compliant with your state/local laws. The cost of the service is set to include the difference of the A2 that will not be used. It was an easier solution to reduce the price of the service from 55$ down to 45$ instead of having to deduct 10$ from somewhere else in the order and having to write logic to automatically make those deductions when criteria was met.
I believe NJ requires a muzzle brake and also consider compensators as muzzle brakes. You should be able to go either way, but I suggest you verify with an local source to whether that is compliant before you order.

Ok so if I was to buy the barrel and the dynamax comp from you guys and have you pin an weld. That should cover me. Then my next question is do you sell your A2 sight without the bayonet lug on your site some where? Cause I assume once you weld on the dynamax you have to already have the A2 site on it.

Can't do it with just a barrel, must be on a complete upper only. Once you pin/weld, nothing is coming apart without first grinding off the muzzle device.
