Hey All,

I just purchased my first AR receiver (ST15) and I was looking for advice or personal experiences on what uppers are good, bad, or ugly. I haven't done much research but I've heard that rock river makes a nice complete kit.

Thanks for the insight.

DSarms make a good upper 5.56 for 280 total straight to ur front door

always wondered why people get uppers and lowers from different companies and not just buy complete from one company, am i missing something?

There are a bunch of reasons. I can speak for myself. A) my gun store didn't have the complete fun I wanted. B) I figured I would learn more "building" my own. C) wanted to customize my own gun and make it perfect for me, and include everything I want in a rifle.

Exactly. They did not have the lower I wanted with an upper, I want to build mine from the ground up, and I want to get it just right.
