I noticed that mine is marked 223 and not 5.56 like listed and pictured on the description. Is it chambered in 5.56 or .223?

Which upper do you have? What is the full barrel marking? Picture?

I just read up on the upper you ordered. The specs claim a 5.56 chamber, so you should be good to go. It is a bit strange, though, that the barrel is marked as .223 Wylde when the specs say nothing about it...
I'll be watching this topic for the official word on this.

That is one of our Lothar Walther barrels, not our LE barrel. The Lothar barrels are .223 Wylde chamber. Not sure how it was made with one of our precision barrels, but give us a call and we can get it swapped for our standard 5.56 barrel that it is supposed to have. Let us know.

Between this person getting something completely different and another customer getting a 12" instead of a 13.2" SAR, making these people wait a long time to remedy the problem is the troubling matter.. viewtopic.php?p=8480#p8480 Sent from my Commodore 64.. READY. load"*",8,1

its starting too sound like their supplyers are less than 2 rate and machinist are all rookies on 3rd shift. im starting to get real concerned about my decision to purchase from spikes t. after all i keep reading here on the forum . i chose spikes because i thought i would get a better qaulity gun than a standard factory line assembly. THIS IS my first time buying from spikes. but i had a rra ar before this at 1/2 the price and wanted better .now im not so sure anymore ?? whats up spikes your reputation and name are on the line here ?? looking for some real honesty and a national address to consumer.

I've forwarded along the comments to Tom. I will get him to shed some light and put together another state of the union address once I get the details from him.

I was just wondering and saw in the link posted that shooting 556 wont be a prob. I do see lots of people getting upset on the wait time but I chose to go with Spikes knowing there would be a wait. I plan to get a 10" 300blk barrel once they are available again since they are gone now for my suppressed SBR build.
