As the title says I just finished my build and am working on zeroing in the iron sights.
I have a spike's ST-15 lower mated with the adam's arms carbine tactical elite. I am using a UTG fixed rear sight and UTG folding front sight.
I am having a problem with it shooting quite low even with the front sight post all the way down. Looking at my rifle compared to my buddys who has a standard A2 front sight it looks like my front sight sits higher in comparison to the rear sight than his which would cause me to shoot low.
Has anyone experienced this or do you have any advice on a fix? I was thinking about getting a flat top rise to bring the rear sight up higher but would rather not if I don't have to.

I think the problem may be that you are using one fixed and one folding. They are different heights Im sure. You would thin there would be enough adjustment to fix but I guess not. Trying a folding rear sight by UTG would be the first thing I tried. Hope it helps.

I would check with Adams Arms or UTG as to why the front & rear sight heights are visibly different.

Thanks for the info - a buddy at work is going to let me try out his set of folding troy battle sights to see if they work.

Where are your sights located? If they are removable I know that there are two different height front sights. Ones that are taller and meant to mount on the gas block and shorter ones that would mount to a rail. If both of your sights are currently rail mounted maybe you have a gas block taller height front sight.

Correct Warbirds. And if he has the gas block height (meant for YHM railed gas blocks, which are lower than receiver height), they are not compatible with the Adam's Arms gas block, which is receiver height and would put the front sight about 1/2" too high.
