moss : how did you get 10" bar on 16" midlength ? they told me smallest i could go with a bar on a midlength 16" barrel was a 12" bar due to the gas port on lothan walter bbrl ???

is yours a piston cause mines DI??

I'm going to guess that there might be a front sight post involved.

No front sight. If you look at the 16" uppers there is an option for mid 10" BAR. No picture but here is an st15 with that exact upper: http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/st1 ... p-813.html. The gass block is ever so slightly exposed.
